How Long Have YOU Played FS?

Brought every edition 95 onwards...havent got round to FSX yet though...In fact i havent actually played FS for 4 or 5 months

Started out playing around with FS98.

Fiddled with my Apple 2e in the late 1970's... ...!

Then bought the Fantastic Sinclair ZX80 in 1980, quickly followed by the Amazing ZX81...in...errr...1981 ...

Then Uncle Clive Sinclair's Masterpiece...the SINCLAIR SPECTRUM 48K in 1983...(with added hardware), ....Woo-Hoo... [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]...!

Programmed it in real Z80 Zilog Machine Code, and played all sorts of games on it including "Gunship" and "Mercenary; Escape from Targ", etc...etc...etc...

A few variants of the Commodore C 64...(with added hardware)

This was followed by the more advanced, 16-bit, Commodore A500 and the A1200 with (added hardware), in 1998.

...and in 1995, finally, the Personal Computer with Uncle Bill's operating System...(with a Graphical User Interface pinched from Steve Jobs, of Apple Computers.... ...)...!

I still have a room full of all my old computers, hardware and software....gathering dust....'cos they are now available as "Emulators" on the PC... :-/...!

Happy 8-bit days...long...long ago... ... 8-)...!

Begging your pardon, but I do not "play" FS, I fly FS...

I first messed around with FS5(?) back in the early '90s, then lost access to that PC when my friend moved south... really didn't get into it until just after FS9 came out, when i finally got (built) a computer.

Before FS, it was nothing but arcade games... Battle Zone, Tron, Centipede...

started with fs 95, the got fs 98.  stopped playing it in about 2000 for whatever reason, started again with fs9

I started with SubLogic Flight Simulator for the Atari 800XL.  Complete with wireframe buildings and (drum roll) surface elimination for the World Trade Center in NYC.

I too started with the very first Microsoft Flight sim...guess it was 1.0?  Green screen with white lines in the cockpit and the only building was the Sears Tower when you flew out of Meigs Field.
And I've flown every one in the series after that!  ;D

Have flown everything in between too...Chuck Yeager, Pro Pilot, X-Plane, Red Barons, CFS 1, 2 and 3, A-10 Tank Killer, Microprose F19, F119, Aces of the Pacific, Aces over Europe, Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe....holy cow, if it had planes in it then I've probably flown it.  ;D

...and I look forward to flying FX2050 when I'm old and gray(er).  ;)

I guess I am the newest flight simmer here.  ;D  I have only had fs2004 since february of last year.  ;D  I still haven't got FSX either.  ;D

With my 1st computer in 1999. A few here would correctly guess that CFS1 was my 1st FS* (1st successful flight was with the stock, icky-green Sopwith Camel). I later got FS95, 98, CFS2 and 2k2 at clearance sales; just before I got CFS2, I got CFS3 at a discount price but uninstalled it after a few uses. Somewhere along the line I also acquired Jane's WWII Fighters, Warbirds, F-15, Battle of Britain, European Air War (now broken) and Crimson Skies.

* Technically, some space sims qualify as flight sims; in such case, Star Trek Academy would have been my 1st and CFS1 2nd; I've Tie Fighters and Rogue Squadron, also.

same here, cfs1 was my first sim then 98, 2000, not 2002, 2004, and now x.
have all the cfs series by the way
