That is impressive, just to put it into perspective, 8000' is just over one and a half miles.I have a lot of experience with .50 cal muzzle loaders, but I would like to try a modern .50 just once.
HOWEVER im not sure that the sight of body parts flying through the air is suitable for a family site.

If it were a .50 cal, there'd be a lot more than just guts flying.
A .50 BMG would travel through any animal, be it gopher or human,
quite readily and have a Negligible change on it's ballistics.
The rock behind the apparent targets would be vapourized had it been a .50.
All I say was some small puffs of dust, and the greasy grimy gopher guts.
