When I went to Belgium on a school trip, we found a few unexploded bombs there. Some absolute *censored* decided to kick one of the shells across the street, we had to leg it away from the area.
On that trip we went to a site of a canadian front of the war, apparently over ten tons of ordnance comes out of the ground each year there. its only a few hundred yards wide!

Recently saw a documentary on rats; seems that in Africa, they're being trained to sniff out land mines. Very high rate of accuracy, and best of all they aren't heavy enough to trigger them, so it's safer for rats and handlers.

They're rats. Put a brick on top of them so they blow the mines. two problems solved  ;D
