...excellent.... ;D...!

They deserve it, it shows how bleedin' stupid they are to take it all in, and it works every time... Love it...;)...!

Please forgive my not understanding the point.  But how is someone stupid and deserves to be offended when another person presents himself as someone he is not, then proceeds to offend the first person?

Seems like you're making assumptions without knowing the facts.

According to the Roanoke Times, he was presented as an immigrant from Kazakhstan filming a documentry.  As I said before, he presented himself as someone he wasn't then proceeded to insult the people attending the event.

Yea, I heard of him.  My opinion is he's serving up red meat for those who are critical of the US.  All he seems to do is to tap into stereotypes.

I recall reading about how he showed up at a rodeo (read: Bush-loving, God fearing right wingers) and he mentioned he supported the war on terror.  Then he told the crowd that he hopes the US kills every man, woman, and child in Iraq, even down to the lizards, and may George Bush drinks the blood of every man, woman, and child in Iraq.

All he ended up doing was to really piss off the crowd.  Maybe they can have a double feature, Death of a President, and this.   ::)

Aww, common guys.  This is what makes him so FUNNY.  Tapping into and ridiculously exploiting stereotypes, taking them to the extreme, is what reveals them to be folly.  Sometimes it takes a fake Kazakh reporter to reveal the true nature of America ;D

You really need to take it easy D, this guy is really, really funny.  If you're not into this type of humor that's fair, but a LOT of people are. ;)

What he actually says here causes the crowd to erupt with applause etc and just goes to show that they did not listen, but instead chose to hear what they wanted to here. He did not say, "I support your fight against terrorism", but, "I support your terrorist war", a big difference. He was extracting the piss from a bunch of Bush loving right wingers in more ways than one.

It's quite true that people hear what they want to hear even on a video clip. He actually says "We support your war of terror". You can confirm it yourself from Soui's original link. Of course, it could also be put down to the difficulty of hearing anything clearly over the average PA system.

I won't pretend to find this chap even slightly amusing. Nothing unusual in that as this type of humour never appealed to me. However, many people find him hilarious & he's not as stupid as some seem to think. I think the only people offended by him are the ones he's showing up. He's certainly very successful at what he does but I'm surprised that somebody he's taking the piss out of hasn't punched him on the nose (or worse) by now.

Education != Character.

Going around setting people up to be ridiculed is not an example of any of the more upstanding of human traits.

Education != Character.

Going around setting people up to be ridiculed is not an example of any of the more upstanding of human traits.  It tends to reach down to the lowest common denominator.  It's no different than a group of schoolchildren crowding around a kid that they percieve as "different" then ridiculing the kid.  Just as an adult, people will pay to see the "different" person being ridiculed.

Sorry d, but that's really far off base.  The analogy really isn't applicable.  What he does is nothing, and I mean nothing, more than sarcasm.  As I said before, ridiculously exploiting stereotypes=comedy=realizing stereotypes are stupid.

If you're not into this kind of humor then fine, but you absolutely should not be making qualitative statements about his character.

I wonder what any of us would do if confronted with one of these situations.  Probably the same thing these people do.  Heck, if I recognized the guy and knew I was being used as the brunt of the joke I'd still probably go along with it just because the guy is so darned funny.

I don't think any of the "victims" shown on any of the linked clips here come off as stupid.

Why?

Because you're biased (aren't we all).  It would be like someone who only likes romantic movies reviewing an action movie.  You obviously don't like his form of humor, but many, many people do.  I personally find him hilarious-so naturally I have a more positive view of him.  That doesn't mean I'm taking the pulpit and preaching what a good guy he is and how strong of character he is.  I doubt we should begin judging people's character based on how they entertain others.
