Good Grief!!

Postby RollerBall » Sat Oct 07, 2006 5:07 am

So I'm just heading for home this morning after taking our Springer, Toddie, for a walk and I can hear a chopper low behind the treetops.

Suddenly the default FS9 JetRanger hove into view complete with the full blue colour scheme and all!

I couldn't see who was flying it, but I know it wasn't Fozzer because he still can't fly helos...... ;)

Wasn't me, I normally fly "Airwolf". I can fly pretty good, landings are still a bit rough...lmao....normally the landings are considered crashes.... ;)

I get loads of them flying over my garden every day ignoring the "not lower than 500 Feet AGL routine", and rattling my teeth.

I've got a message for them mown into the grass in my back garden.....;)...!

I've hated helicopters ever since I realised that I couldn't fly the noisy bleedin' things...>:(...!

That's nothing. I've got Blackhawks, Kiowas, Little Birds, and Chinooks constantly flying low over my tent throughout the day and night. They're so low, that when I lay still in bed at night, I can feel my bed shake when they fly overhead ;D

:)

We've got someone who owns a little Robinson or something in this area. Looks like a flying tin can with a rotor. But the noise it makes even at a coupla thousand feet is totally disproportionate to its size. And for some reason he never seems to have mastered flying straight ahead - always seems to be going slightly sideways.

Perhaps he's watched The Fast & The Furious: TD too much and wanted to try 'drift' flying? ;D :P ;)

Prefer fixed-wing meself...easier to fly ;D 8)

Cheers,
