My advice (not to open a can of worms; just my opinion, etc.): be sure to use every scrap: hoof, hide, and horn... I don't like trophy-hunting, even when it's a prey species like a moose. But if you can kill it quickly and make some use of it, you have my blessing, for what that's worth to you.
If you must kill a moose for fun, try it with just a rack of horns on your head. As unfair as that would be to you, it'd be more fair than plugging it with a rifle.

Using male musk this time of year will bring trouble, as in a competing bull. I'd advise against that. Not a hunter, but I know that.
I don't think the males call to the females, so I don't thiink there's a call that will attract cows... except maybe a stricken-calf call. Now don't go shooting a calf just to attract a cow, or at least don't tell me about it.
You'll have to track her carefully and get a fairly difficult long-distance shot, I'd imagine... or find cover and leave some food out. And wait. I've done some fishing; I know about that.
