Trust me I have seen loads of photoshops and loads of flash games on the net that really are sick and basically take the piss out of sensitive subjects, they are sick because they where made that way, this is just an add on to a simulator that has no meaningfull nastyness in it. Is it not sick that you can download and install the Twin towers buildings back into newer flight sims? And if so, why do you think they have been installed for if not for a 30 second view as you pass it on take off

some childish people (or childs) who are getting amused and excited by the same thing.

And there you have it. A direct insult. I'm not one that recreates crashes (in fact, I think it's boring), but anyone who does happen to enjoy it, or learn from it, can't immediately be labelled as childish.

Not until they start posting insensitive screenshots/videos/information on the internet, that is. But until then, let them do as they please.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I just thought I would let all you guys know, the main reason for the huge amounts of d/w loads for this aircraft is because it is the base package from the new POSKY 737NG Short Field perfomace enhanced aircraft. Just thought y'all should know, not that any of you probably care!

RIP all.....

Puts the thread into context me thinks!

I downloaded a mission for FS2002 or 2004 - I forget which - a while back that re-created the Paris Concorde crash, I crashed too - am I therefore sick for trying to re-enact a tragedy?
Posting drivel here since Jan 31st, 2002. - That long!

The irony of all of this.
Simulators were created for the purpose of putting pilots in these situations without the risk. They are used to train pilots how to save the planes in these situations. And they are used to recreate it to figure out what happens. Dont hear anyone ever complaining about that? So what differance does it make if someone uses Flight sim for that? Is it sick? No, just curiosity. Pauls example with the concorde crash for instance. He wanted to see perhaps if he could given the benifit of knowing the situation a little, if he could perhaps do anything differant. Theres nothing wrong with it.
People really need to get out more if these kind of things upset them. ::)

I don't think it is sick.
I do it every time just to see what was happening from their perspective.
