Ehm Mees, if valued members have to shut up, how can they ever become resident?

Simple: they should just post the word "present" in every thread for awhile, then after enough posts, they may speak. Briefly.
;D

PS Paul you started as a Valued Member too. Luckily nobody shot you then, right?

That rule doesn't require a deadly shot,; a flesh wound will do.
I seem to remember getting singed early on by someone, but not shot per se... ;D

I have to agree with you guys. Some of the new members are trying a little bit to hard to impress the "old" folks around here or ask the most obvious questions that are answered over a 100 times. Sometimes that is annoying as sitting on a cactus, the other time it's just to funny to see. Most of them settle down after a while and become real 'valued members' of Simviation or they leave and never come back. I think it's a 'problem' every forum has to cope with. I've been on forums where new members were almost literally shot on sight. Let's keep this one of the friendliest forums around and welcome everyone who wants to join. Even if they annoy the living crap out of you....

Crash ;)

I'm pretty sure nobody will be shooting me on sight [well, except the SimV gods] because I'm the one who provides the injections. ;D

Oh lord no.... Not Theis!! Nooooooo!!

:breathes in deeply and ejects the following sentance really really quickly:

I may be partly responsible for the grammar police thing. From many years ago. Pete might even testify to that if I can dig him out from under the stone and keep him out for long enough.

..... Or was it flat after all ? Red is the new silver. Black is the new red. Mine's a pint. The red one. Yes.

Mmmmfff tis comfy. Tighter!!!

Paul is a member from a previous generation, the shot on sight rule wasn't there yet :P
And I think the main means of attack was by foot or fist and, when available, a rock or big stick.
:)

Fozzer, I'm glad I don't live near you ;) I'm sure I woulden't like it  ;D

Does that make you feel better?

Speaking of shots!
:o :P
