I've heard of dumber things..like Dry Ice bombs, those can produce explosions that can blow apart a car (and no, I have neither witnessed it, nor felt the need to find out if it's true...)

On rather innocent combination is Mentos and Diet Coke though...That produces a Geyser of diet coke.

A couple of creative guys made a little exhibition of Mentos/Diet Coke fountains here

Ew, I bet they're SUPER sticky after that, all that Diet Coke mist floating in the air.

And do you know what lesser-known network they show Brainiac on in the US?

Don't know about the car, but you can produce a TON of pressure with dry ice.  Contain that pressure in a vessle with a high breaking point and when the vessle pops you get quite a big BANG.  My buddy did this with a soda bottle (a soda bottle can contain a whole bunch of pressure) and the resulting BANG was enough to get the police to respond to reports of shotgun fire.  I'd imagine you could do the same with a metal pipe and generate quite a bit of shrapnel and other non-human friendly stuff.

Braniac has been seen on G4TV...formerly TechTV.......formerly ZDTV. It's a digital satellite/cable channel, once known for it's great source of computer tech info. Now it's mostly a computer and console gaming show, sad really.

Those guys don't live all that far from me, maybe a couple hours drive.  From what I understand they were out of work performance artists making internet videos for publicity.  That little clip got them enough buzz that they're now appearing on network TV, talk shows, etc.

I believe Brainiac was on G4TV, the video game network.  I haven't seen it for a while, then I saw it pop up on one of the Discovery channels for a single episode.  It's been a while since I've seen it but honestly I don't check on G4TV very often.

According to the G4 website it looks like they show it at midnight on Monday now.  I guess that's why I haven't seen it in a while.

G4?

Oh, I used to watch Judgement Day on that and such.  Now you're right, it's gone downhill with "Attack of the Show" and stuff.

Wow!  That's amazing! :D At one point it even looks like AA tracer fire, except much tastier and friendlier. :) Diet Coke wars! ::)
