Well, Andy Murray just beat Andy Roddick, giving the UK some sporting hope!

Tennis is OK (not to watch), but football is dull, i went to IKEA this afternoon, was very quiet!

Good riddance to those stupid car flags, yesterday I even saw a motorcyclist wearing a mini one on his helmet :o

Ay, Andy Murray has just sent a shock through the tennis world. His second win over Roddick now and what a win in straight sets too.

A pity for England. I knew it was over when Beckham was off and then it was underlined and stamped when off went Rooney. The team is to be priased for keeping their guard until the penalties though with 10 men. Well done England and a quater final is better than a first round loss. ;D

Watching England is like watching Notts County. If you got upset every time they lost, you'd shoot yourself. The best chance we had to win the World cup since '66 was in 1990 and apart from the Euro '96 team we have never had a squad that even looked like it could win a major championship. At least that p**t Eriksson is gone now.

I doubt Mackin will do it any better. A bad workman blames his tools true, but if the tools aren't so good as another workmans then what do you expect? ::)

My understanding is that there are 22 jessies running up and down demonstrating a complete lack of thespianic talent and all the manners and culture of a chimps tea party whilst kicking a bit of reprocessed cow and getting paid more in a week than most people earn in a year!

actually, zidane earn in one day, 2 years of salary for me... ::)

Rotty....!

Is that the contents of the trains passenger's stomachs I see deposited on the wall...?

I have felt the same at each mention of the "game"... ;)...;D...!

LOL...!

Ah yes, the discreet charm of our very own Fozzer... :D

I'm not sure what it is, nor do I want to...  :-X

I'm in the same camp as far as sports go... I can watch highlights for hours, and sometimes it's fun to go to a game just for the sheer Roman spectacle of it all (ever noticed how excited some women get at these events? ;D ), but I just don't give a damn about any team.
No, not even the Newark Bears...

And he touched the ball first.... ::).... Sometimes I really don't agree with the rules, especially when all they do is act like it's the end of the world when they get tackled :-/

It was close I think he started his run-up as the ref was about to blow the whistle, but he just got there too soon.

No way. England deserved to have their ass kicked.

Indeed. We could have done it this year though but for a little luck and selection questionmarks (read idiotic selection - ie Walcott - why take someone you are too scared to play!).

It's a shame that Rooney's being charged for a dubious looking "stamp". People like Ronaldo (C), Figo and Pauleta* are the ones that should be answering questions - of bringing the game in to disrepute...

*and many more players...
