I was wondering...

when any of you are out and about (assuming you ever are ::)), do you:

1a. Drop trash on the floor/ground
1b. Throw trash as far as possible
1c. Hope the wind is strong enough to "accidently" let trash get away from you
1d. Throw trash in the nearest garbage recepticle

2a. Decide not to buy an item and toss it on the floor
2b. Decide not to buy an item and leave it five aisles in any direction from where it came from
2c. Take a fresh food item from grocery and put it on the electronic accessories shelf
2d. Decide not to buy an item and put it back where you found it

3a. Do your thing at the toilet/loo and head straight out the door
   (to shake hands, eat or whatsoever)

3b. Do your thing in the latrine, plug the toilet/loo with most of the roll of toilet paper        and leave
3c. As above except you push the flusher and run like crazy so that you won't have to wade out
3d. Do your thing at the toilet/loo and throw the toilet paper all over the floor
3e. Do your thing at the toilet/loo, flush your debris (including toilet paper), wash your hands,  throw paper towels (if used instead of air dryer or cloth towel) into garbage recepticle before you leave (yes, I realize it's unlikely after you leave :P)

This isn't intended as a precise poll so feel free to honestly ad lib.

The last one on all of them.  I will carry my trash for miles until I see a garbage can.  I only wash my hands after the "loo" if necessary.  It isn't mandatory in my book. :P I'll flush other toilets if people didn't feel like taking the extra step. ::)

PS: Sometimes, if the bathroom's empty, I'll quickly flush all the toilets and run out. ;D

I do the last in all also, except i throw away the towel as I leave, I use it to open the door due to the fact that many don't wash after doing thier thing ;)

If a hand dryer is the only thing available I wait until the next person comes in then rush out before the door hits me in the ass  ;D

Toilet paper isn't a issue with me, I never do the number two in a public "loo", I know what goes on in there. LMAO!!

Isn't it a delight to realize you aren't as angry and frustrated as the people who write things in the stalls tho'?  Shouldn't that be the time you're happiest? ;D :o ;D

Not really -- although I'd be a lot unhappier if I didn't readily relieve myself of some waste matter. ::) 8)

1 = a./d. - I really try not to throw trash on the ground, cause it's a horrible thing to do. However if my pockets are full, and I know there isn't a trashcan for miles, I sometimes just throw it.. :-[ Another thing, when I'm out fishing, I throw almost everything in the sea, very bad habit. :-X

2 = b. - Don't we all?

3 = e*. - I'm a neat freak. Therefore I also use a piece of paper to push the flusher, and a piece of paper to open the door with. This is because I don't like the thought of touching the doorhandle and flusher, when I know a lot of people do not wash their hands..

..mm....latest experience I had was only yesterday on Doncaster Railway Station..........I wandered around a while with a banana skin in my hand looking in vain for a waste bin...........I eventually asked a guy in uniformwho looked like he would know about these things and guess what?  " You won't find one sir, we don't have them any more for security reasons....just put it down in a corner somewhere, an attendant will pick it up on his 15 minute check"

I give up!............commoner ::)

My PET hate are people who walk out of the urinal in the Supermarket without washing their hands..........I know full well they will be handling the fruit and veg. that others will be taking home for tea...........dirty B*S*A*D*S :o

...very bad habit.
True... much of our garbage residue eventually ends up in the sea, anyway; you just want to make sure it gets there ASAP? The garbage you toss today is the food you'll eat tomorrow.

Another thing, when I'm out fishing, I throw almost everything in the sea...
So, the next time someone sees a fish swimming by in tattered trousers, shall they make the assumption? 8)

2 = b. - Don't we all?
No.
Even when I was only a customer, I'd not only put an item back but, to return an item someone else had inappropriately placed elsewhere, would often go out of my way to find from whence it came. :P

3 = e*. - I'm a neat freak.
Somewhat selectively?

3 = e*. - I'm a neat freak. Therefore I also use a piece of paper to push the flusher, and a piece of paper to open the door with. This is because I don't like the thought of touching the door handle and flusher, when I know a lot of people do not wash their hands..
The flusher I push with my knuckle; I'm only concerned for whoever touches it after me since I'm about to wash my hands (and knuckles). I admit I don't always use paper to open the door to exit; I always do -- or actually wash the door handle -- when I see someone exit without washing; I have no interest in handling another guy's private parts, even indirectly. >:(

The paranoia of exploding garbage. Now, if the crazed bomber can't find a spot under your seat or luggage in which to put it, the bomb explodes upon his person; should he survive it, "No, no... it wasn't a bomb! I was just passing gas!" :o :(

My PET hate are people who walk out of the urinal without washing their hands..........I know full well they will be handling the fruit and veg. that others will be taking home for tea...........dirty B*S*A*D*S :o
Unfortunately, my above remedy only works for me and, possibly, those leaving after me; what the unwashed twit who left before me does thereafter... >:( :-/
In all honesty, if you saw my personal living existance conditions, you wouldn't believe it was the same person. I'm much more concerned with my effects on someone else's space than on mine, alone, and financial aspects have an effect, too.:-[  Still wash at the end of a loo visit, though.

1) I generally do try to put rubbish in a bin, so I'll go for 1a. EDIT: I meant D, wow, it's been ages since I noticed that ::)

2) 2d - why do the above?

3) I generally tend not to use public toilets/ bathrooms - they always stink and some chav has come along and sprawled cr*p all over them *sigh*. Usually, though, I would do numver 3e.

I do the last option on all of them. When it comes to littering, I wouldn't know what it's like as I can't remember ever throwing trash on the ground. When my friends and I go camping, we often end up picking up trash left by ignorant persons who camped there before us.

On the subject of littering: My dad owns 10 acers of wooded land, It really is a beautiful place. However, the people who lived here before he bought it appearently didn't have a trash service. These disgusting "people" just threw their trash, bags and all, out into the woods where they wouldn't have to see it. >:( :-/ It made me and my dad both physically sick to look at the back hill on this property when we first moved in. The only upside is that with all of the garbage, the place cost considerably less than it should have. That was about five years ago, and we have since removed what can be removed, and burried the rest.

Sorry for the long-winded post, but this kind of carless littering is one of those things that really pisses me off about some people.

Aside from my heckling with Ecko, whose room probably makes mine look like what's below the old 3-hole outhouse, here's an update on what encouraged this thread:
Upon my first visit to the store lavatory, there is toilet paper, skrunched paper towels and a couple discarded (yes, used) disposable diapers strewn on the floor; I managed to clean up much of it (and, no, it's not my department) and an attendant cleaned said lavatory later.
On my last visit, the corner stall has empty boxes of pens, pain killers and a couple others stuck up on the handrail and toilet dispenser unit. Would you think it amusing if he stuck them you know where and winds up in the emergency room -- as did the guy who stuck the air freshener (the type hung from a vehicle windshield/windscreen mirror) up his rump to counteract the smell of his frequent gas emissions?
