LOL we have actually created our own game which is basically rugby, except you use and American Football and you can throw forward!! Works great down at the beach!!

I gotta admit American Footballs are fun to toss around, but the game itself sucks...so slow and boring :P

those who find american football boring dont understand the game properly. Far more to the game and far more strategy than perhaps any other game.

The only person I've ever seen cry on a football pitch is Paul Gascoigne!

Try walking away with a broken leg ;)

So... still no match for Holland then? Robben, Van Nistelrooy and van Persie will make for a nice attack!

I still don't understand why americans keep calling our football "soccer" for that matter I don't understand why they keep calling their little sport "football" when the majority is played with the hands....

Ah well must be just me...

On a sidenote The Young team of Holland became the European champions today when they beat the young Ukraine 3-0... Hooray!

Cheers

Exactly.

Not a game on the planet that comes even close to the level of depth and strategy that American football has.  This is not disputable.

I don't think you were referring to it, but while we're on the subject, how the hell is soccer (football) any better?  What, like two goals scored in two hours of gameplay?  How is that more exciting than a constant display of athletic skill and hard-hitting ability on every down of American football?  I don't think either one is more exciting (I find American football FAR more exciting than soccer, I don't assert that means it IS more exciting), I'm just bringing up the point.

Some people in this thread are bordering on hypocrisy.  There's no such thing as a pro sport sucking, especially not one that has some of the greatest athletes in the world playing it.  ::)  I haven't detected any sarcasm, but if I missed it, I apologize for making an ass of myself.

There, I'll leave it at that.

Oh good one, have a look around at some of the other sports and then tell me a bunch of guys running round a field is more 'deep'...

They gotta load of set plays....whys that good?? Thats nothing to do with tactics, just breaks up the game and makes it boring...there just incapable of playing a full game ?? They are really like pawns arnt they?? The coach's just tell em' wat to do and they follow!

LOL i agree i dont really no anything about the sport...but i do no i dont like it...!! I may by wrong but thats my arogent opinion ;D

BTW sorry for not structuring my arguement Beef, exams in two days and only just started revising...no time to waste ;)

I understand you're being a little sarcastic, but I'll use your post anyway. ;)

You can't argue that a sport sucks and it's not very deep if you don't understand it, as your post adequately demonstrates.  Plain and simple.  You just can't.  So don't.  That goes for everyone, all the time, in everything.  Any argument involving the game being boring because it "starts and stops" is ludicrous and I can't figure out whether or not to take it seriously yet.

KK heres the thing, your obviously studying something at school / uni thats lead you to think everything is an arguement ... and that im trying to force my beliefs upon others... whereas, im simply stating an opinion? There are no rules or criteria for an opinion, nor does there have to be any legitimate or creditable basis, its just a representation of how you feel....

And i feel American Footbal Sucks :P ;D
Sorry ;D

THERE! Perfect! Not a statement of fact, now it's an opinion.  That sentence should offend noone sensible.

I always get a little peeved at the way people argue because if done improperly it creates problems.  People generally won't mean anything malicious by what they post, like you, but sometimes they accidentally present it in such a way that it sounds hostile and close-minded.  This is especially a problem online.  It's all in what you say, not what you intend ;)
