Why do we do it

..........CHEATING........(if this WAS cheating )........it seems to be part of the human make up.........however high you climb in the social, academic or sporting worlds you find it....In his field he's just about the best ever but apparently felt the need to resort to this.......anybody any theories or views on this?.......commoner::)

considering his comments at the begining of the week saying he didn't need pole to win, and considering he knew he would be at worst, 2nd. I dont believe for one second he did it on purpose. The simple fact is, these cars do 0-100mph a back to a stand still in less than 3 seconds, around monaco where the barriers are less than a second away at any speed above 30mph its not at all surprising this happend. Remember this is the guy who behind a safety car and in the lead managed to wreck his car and the chance of a perfect season at the same track. He doesn't like Monaco and no matter how good he has been there in the past, he has said in the past he doesn't like driving there.
My question is, if this were Alonso or Raikonnen in this position would they have been sent to the back? No. But because its Michael and Ferrari, he must have cheated. This is likely another one to alonso and might as well hand him the title. Lets see how much longer people will put up with this. Didn't take that long before Ferrari were being complained about for always winning.

Ferrari has always bent to rules to the point just before breaking. They will try anything. Their altitude is if it is not written hard and fast in black and white, then it is fair game to "test" the point out. Sadly, sportsmanship left F1 many, many years ago. However, the steward

Secondly, I think you need to seperate what is essentially a bunch of grown men living a childhood dream, from a bunch of children pretending to be grown men trying to rule the world

Pretty much what Craig said.  Apples and oranges.  That's comparing what is essentially a competitive sport to the leaders of the world.  It doesn't quite work out.  I know that some people believe in universal maxims-it's either always or never ok to push the boundaries, no matter what you're in.  I most certainly do not believe in these.

Having seen  the footage of the Schui incident from yesterday ....... He did it on purpose and got what he deserved.

He proved in the race that whatever stunt he was pulling was totally unnecessary as he can out drive every single driver on that grid.

..lol.....NOT that he hasn't done this sort of thing before eh? He did get the nickname at one time of..er...was it Schumer, or something like that, which interprets as "somewhat more than tricky" (may be wrong there) Must agree the boy is SO GOOD he doesn't need it! I think Jackie Stewarts explination is probably the best (not that I agree it was on purpose) Schumi made an honest mistake in the turn, however it wasn't a big mistake, but being the "genious" he is, the brain clicked into the, how can I benifit from this, mode, and in an instant he knew to just park it where he could slow them down.
I still dont think he did that, You can see he came into the corner too fast, there was nowhere to turn to the right as he was close to the wall and off the racing line, from then on he had the choice, bounce it off the wall while pulling away and damage the car, or just park it.
Schumi makes mistakes, far to often, the differance being, he is usually that much better than other drivers, that you dont notice or he is unaffected by it.

So making a decision that gets you relegated to the back of the grid is considered 'genius' these days is it?

If you watch the footage, he could've made the corner easily - except for the fact that he steered straight on not once, but twice.

Lets not forget, not only is he the only 7 time world champion - he is also probably the most famous & notable cheat in the history of the sport. Made me laugh while he was trying to explain himself: "I've been in this sport long enough - people should know me by now". - thats the problem mate, people do know you.
