I always thought West Ham was closer to Kent than Liverpool... ::) ;) ;D

Shame really. The Hammers deserved it (points decision over 120 minutes! ;))...

I'm no football fan and my wife is a ManU fan ...  We came in  from walking the dog 10 mins into the match and we were hooked. What a fantastic display of football !!
Gerrards goal from 50yards out was one of the best I've ever seen.
It was a pity that it had to be decided on penalties.

Did Gerrard actually smile at the end of it? It usually takes quite a lot to crack his frown

It went to penalties ......... all of them were completely knackered during extra time.

As good as Man Utd vs Crystal Palace in 1990 IMO... That was 3-3 too... Some chap called Ian Wright came back from a broken leg that day as a sub to score two goals for Palace. A year or two later he was playing for Arsenal, England, and the rest, as they say, is history... :)

Have to say Steven Gerrard was the stand out player for Liverpool, but the little Israeli midfielder playing for West Ham had a very good game indeed...
