Mellow Yellow.

Postby commoner » Wed May 10, 2006 2:21 am

Hi all...well all in the UK and France and maybe the whole World.......I am suffering...badly...from the effects of the POLLEN from the flowering OILSEED RAPE which now, or so it seems is in every other field in the area where I live and I suspect much further afield..........

It smells awful and looks worse.....that sulphur yellow..Ugh! Worst of all it is making my eyes run and my nose too.......

Anybody else affected?...I b....y well hope not.

It's even infiltrated FS...can't get away from it..........roll on harvest time..............commoner :'( :'( :'( :'(

I haven't seen any locally yet (probably because I haven't ventured out on my bicycle much lately :D), but on a trip to Minehead there was plenty of it.....and unfortunately pollen does give me the sniffles *sneezes*

Get a couple of used wine bottle corks and shove 'em up your nose. That way the whole world smells like Chardonnay (or your tipple of preference) and is much more pleasant. This also prevents 27 gallons of snot trying to migrate to your top lip as well so it is doubly effective ;D

Thrust me, Belgium is affected too!

Yellow stuff at EBBR

It grows like nothing I've ever seen... however, I'm not affected by is and I kinda like these vast yellow fields...

Omag ... Off to try Ozzy's tip... if not only because I'll have to empty 2 bottles to obtain the corks... hic...  ;D

I'm not affected by pollen. It's going to work that has me feeling I've been dragged through the sewer.

Actually H my personal tactic is to lurk behind some student I despise and then pretend to examine the ceiling.
If the corks don't kill them (and they can hurt at high velocity) then they get drowned in a tidal wave of yukky green goo ;D

.....BTW.......if anybody fancies flying over this stuff, as in my pic..........you can do it yourself..........

,,,,,,,the files involved are from the Scenery/World/texture folder and are 008a2sp1.bmp up to 008a2sp7.bmp. Just pick out 2 or 3 and open them using DXTBmp. Then send them to your editing software to add the Mellow Yellow..........save in the usual way and there you go.

.... back up your originals or save a copy somewhere ............

...............Take your anti histamines before flying or you could get into trouble..........commoner 8)
