Yay for St. George, icon of the Royal British Empire!

Nononononooo. You're not the only one in this thread to confuse England & St George with Great Britain & the British Empire. ::)

This is the Union Flag of Great Britain.

PS. Britain is no longer Great without its Empire.

This is the Union Flag of Great Britain.

And here is some interesting information about it's curious status.....no constitution, no flag, no bill of rights, we're in a perilous state!

Lets hope that it doesn't get too much attention if it doesn't actually have much of a status...

Hmmm... I dunno what to think about the Australian flag... is it the Amercan stars that are pushing the British emblem in the corner, or are the stars fleeing for the union Jack?  ;D

On the topic of flags, don't you think that ol' Benny Franklin was onto something when he designed this flag for the fledgling America:

The star done the bottom left is the federation star, it has one point for each state and represents the federation of Australia. The stars on the right is the southern cross ;D
