Probably everything he put on the cd is freeware.  Not that he mentioned that, he's taking credit for developing it all. Yeah right. Noticed the feedback too? Most from the same persons. And the FAQ is hilarious, you can't get more fake than this.

Crash ;)

PS couldn't get the topic on FS2004.com. Locked?

I see Beserk's MiG-29 in there :(

Anyone able to report him? I'm not signed up to eBay, so I'm not sure whether I can... Just give the specifics on how and where these can be downloaded for free.

He even mentions the [Posky] 757. Well if you search 'Posky' in Google, the first website to come up is the Project OpenSky website... what an idiot ::)

Never mind Lads... ;)...!
The world is full of sad, daft, gullible folk who will always fall for a scam like that...
Just remember how many folks give their Bank details to unscrupulous people (from Africa?) who promise great wealth to the fool-hardy who are more than willing to participate in the scam...!
It's called "The Internet"...!
LOL...!
Buyer-Beware...;D...!

I just contacted E-bay and reported this. Might not help though, he could change his account and keep selling it.

Methinks that it is time for a class-action lawsuit. Copyright infringment carries a hefty fine and or prison sentance these days. I believe that in America, you can be fined upwards of $250,000, per infringment. I count 15 violations.

I can guarentee you none of those developers have taken out copy right on any of those planes. It costs money, something you don't want to spend on something you're giving away.

Sadly most people seem to think you shove the word, copyrighted in the readme or on the file somewhere, and they are protected. Just like the photographers on anet. Unless you pay for the protection, its about as watertight as a paper boat on the atlantic.

Do I have to register with your office to be protected?
No. In general, registration is voluntary. Copyright exists from the moment the work is created. You will have to register, however, if you wish to bring a lawsuit for infringement of a U.S. work. See Circular 1, Copyright Basics, section

You know, its sad that these kinds of things happen but as long as there are generous people out there creating these things for free-there will be crooks out there to take advantage of that.  Unfortunately, thats the way the work works and there's really nothing that can be done about it.  Even you if managed to take one down, another would take his place.

But, for kicks I decided to look through his feedback at previous auctions he had-and there are a bunch like this one.  Several people have left negative feedback stating that he sells illegal copies of freeware but he continues.  One of the most interesting things I saw him say on one of his auctions was:

"*Please Note: if you want any FlightSim planes email me a list to [his e-mail] and if I own the plane I'll make you back thanx*"

So, basically if you want something e-mail him and he'll search the freeware websites and if he finds it you can buy it from him because he "owns" it.    :-/

See for yourself, he posted it on this auction which ended back in February: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11051&item=8263094765
