That's easily sorted. I would take my custom elsewhere, forthwith if not sooner.

This fallows the old rule a few spoil it for all. I think she was wrong to complain. Saying only young people should take off there hats is discriminating. The elderly are a risk as much as anyone else. Here in Fort Worth a 79yr old women held up a bank with an unloaded gun. It sucks that some ruin it, but when they do, we can just cooperate and things will go smooth, i don't find this funny at all, I find this a perfect example of the degrading state of socity, this woman assumes she is above ppl and is shelfish, it boils down to that, she only cares for her self.

I have to disagree strongly with that. This statement is quoted from that article.
Mrs Wilbraham does not understand that the world is changing."

Maybe she's like me & doesn't want to change the world she's known all her life for the sake of a few hooligans. She's old enough to have been involved in a terrible war to protect our way of life. It's them that should be made to change their ways, not decent law-abiding people. This is the problem with our modern society I'm afraid. Yes, it's degrading fast but not for the reasons you suggest. >:(

I see whats going on, I dont care if your 90 yrs old and have been in everywar in the last 70. These people don't know your past and an old women can rob, steal, you name it same as I can. Sure the world should change to better, but it wont. So we all have to take a dive for our protection. She is shelfish and an example of whats wrong. She could help, instead of throwing a fit

I agree with your original comment.
a few spoil it for all.

I still say these few should be the ones made to change their ways, not the long-suffering majority. I don't care what age they are. The modern trend of accepting anti-social behaviour as normal is exacerbating the problem. Forcing people to remove their hats is not going to solve anything.

There is a clash with culture here. British people have respect for their elderly and also our elderly just don't do things like you mentioned. I'm afriad that in the US things are much worse than here.
I think the worst I have heard of a person around that age is refusing to pay super high council tax! ;D

Maybe the reason this was stupid to begin with was the fact you have to take off your hat at all.  Where are they putting these cameras that you can't see their face with a hat on?
