Stargate Wars

I found this neat site that works almost like the Jennifer-Government site [if you remember that from long ago]. This, as the title implies, is about on online war between four known races:

The Tauri [aka Humans]
The Goa'uld
The Asghard
The Replicators

In a nutshell:

Each race specializes in certain areas and gets bonus for utilizing those areas expertise. Everything costs Naquadah to manage, create and obtain technologies [basically, it's the intergallactic currency for all races].

The game is slow to start with. It goes like this:

1. Create an account.
2. Assign your troops [or spiders if you want to be a Repli].
3. Build resources [which can take several days].
4. Setup a defense.
5. Setup an army.
6. Get ready to have your butt wooped by hundreds of players.

You can also create an alliance or just be neutral.

There is also a comprehensive forum if you have more questions [you need a seperate account though for the forums] and if you are looking for tips and strategies.

It's at

www.stargatewars.com

BTW, I joined the replicators. ;D

Once again, I have proven myself to be a true fanatic of SG and I need a life. ;D

im tempted to join, but what exaclty do you do?

Tauri - Tari
Ashgard - Asgard

and there is a lingering battle for wether it's Naquada or Naquadah.

Well, I'm still going through all the information I could find in the SGW forums. As it turns out, there are several servers that have different settings.

The Main server:

Slow producing, uses Naquadah as currency, slowest gameplay.

Chaos Wars server:

Moderately producing, population based, uses Naquadriah [not Naquadah] as currency, each race is run by a leader, sense of community, resets once every year [more on that later].

I haven't tried the Quantum Wars server yet. But I'll keep you posted.

Quantam Wars server and Main server are the only ones that use only four of the same races while the Chaos Wars server utilizes all of the races including, but not limited to:

Children of the Ori
Ancients
Wraith
Furlings
Unas

As I said, I'm stilling gathering info regarding how each server works.

I decided to post how much I have learned in the "Other Sites" section of the forums.

I hope you find it helpful.

I'm having a go at it. Seems like it could be fun, if a little slow.
