The ironic thing is, Manning and Green are both going to be absolutly useless in Shanahans style of playbook. So we might see some new and interesting plays from the AFC.

Oh probably not.  Remember, the Pro Bowl has very simplified plays.  They must use only a couple offensive formations and such, so it probably won't resenble a Mike Shanahan offense.  Usually, the teams run a very generic offense because of those rules and the lack of player famularity with the system.  So, expect to see simple play calling with some trick plays.

Well, I think Plummer actually deserved a trip to the Pro Bowl.  He was just unfortunate this year there were 3 other players who were voted ahead of him.  The AFC had a extra strong QB class this year and that cost Plummer, he deffinately put up Pro Bowl numbers.

Also, bare in mind that the Jake Plummer is not replacing Tom Brady.

The AFC QBs voted in were Peyton Manning, Carson Palmer, and Tom Brady.

When Carson Palmer went down with a knee injury, the first alternet is to take his place.  The first alternate was QB Drew Brees, who injured his shoulder at the end of the regular season-so he's out.  So, the 2nd alternate (next highest vote recieving QB) takes Palmer's place, thats Jake Plummer.  So, Plummer is actually replacing Carson Palmer.  This has been known now for about 3 weeks.

All of a sudden, it comes out in the news that Tom Brady (who has had shoulder and shin problems all year) is hurt and won't play.  So, the 3rd alternate (Trent Green) takes his place.

So, Plummer replaced Palmer and Green replaced Brady.

So, I think you could make the arguement that Green has no place being there (because he doesn't) while Plummer does.  At the end of the season there were 5 AFC QBs very deserving of the Pro Bowl but only 3 get to go.  Trent Green is not one of those 5.

I think that was sacasm Richie ;) ;D Too bad it took Brady 2 weeks to come up with that excuse for his loss. No doubt he will blame a broken thumb on his poor coin toss at the SB. :D

Ok now Jake Plummer wont be going to the Pro-Bowl. Apparently the rumor out of Denver (not being mentioned by the team officially) is that Jake Injured his Hamstring in the Patriots playoff game. Replacing him will be Steve McNair.

NFC @ AFC: AFC

Pick the play guys. My personal favourate part of the pro-bowl.
I have gone with
Toss 18 halfback pass for the AFC
sprint 438 ted pass for the NFC
Both look quite exciting:)

and coming to a stadium near you next season
