Radio talkshow caller dies on air

A man who called a Liverpool radio station to take part in a live phone-in died while he was on air.

Amazing....
That must have been a boring show, since he died...

Well to be fair, it was a heart attack. I feel for the DJ - this is the second time he's had a major "event" whilst on air - the last was a chap threatening to kill himself...

I think this says more about the attitude of the police force in this country than the quality of the radio programme.

Merseyside Police later apologised for not sending an officer to investigate after Mr Price phoned them.

He had contacted them before going to the caller's house but was told there were higher priority incidents to be dealt with.

Asst Ch Con Helen King said the force was "very sorry that last night a member of the public called us asking for help and we didn't provide it".

All credit to the presenter for doing what he could to help.

The DJ, concerned when the line went dead, abandoned the show and rushed to the man's house in the Old Swan area, to find he had suffered a heart attack.

Mr Price appealed to his listeners for help, and one of the caller's neighbours broke into his home to find him dead in a chair.

The ambulance service arrived a short time later.

I say the guy was less sad than us lot... they've found him after one hour... In our case, we wouldn't get worried until some years pass by... skeletons is all they find of us, I tell you... and a post on the forum... like... no wonder he didn't reply on my PM's...  ;D

Authorities could determine the time of our deaths by several methods...

1. The age of our computer hardware. If a skeleton is found sitting at a really outdated computer, It's possible he might have been dead for a while. Whereas, if someone is dead at an up to date computer, it was more recent.
2. Expiration dates on food packages laying around the computer.
3. Credit card reports of last payware or hardware purchased
4. Last messages posted on forums.

Still better than Thames Valley (alias Chad Valley), after a shooting at a party which resulted in at least 2 deaths officers didn't turn up for 4 hours! They also wouldn't let an ambulance crew go in until the police were there resulting in one of the peoples deaths A bunch of monkeys.... guess who are my local force in Blighty?

Yep, sad but true. In this country, it isn't the cops DUTY to serve YOU or ME. Proven by the Supreme court.

So if they aren't going to protect ya, who is?
