Dont get me wrong, he had a great game. Anyone who can run for 200 yards in a single game deserves alot of credit. But the QB having to do that suggests a break  down of several key area's including Pass protection, run blocking, the running game and receivers failing to get open. Maybe I am wrong and it was Young who chose to do that himself, or perhaps it was designed I dont personally know. Maybe you could clarify it for me Richie? In the end I dont really like either team, so who won didn't really matter, I think its nice for Young and Texas to get some credit for one hell of a season, thats been largely ignored to Leinart Bush and USC. They didn't need the win. Last years national champs and both Reggie and Matt are now heisman winners. I didn't like Matt's comments at the end though. along the lines of "we were still the better team" thats slightly arrogent, and he could have just sucked it up and given Texas their due.

Vince Young running is part of the Texas offensive plan, he had a ton if designed runs (although the winning TD was a pass play where everyone was covered and he saw an opening on 4th down).

Okay, thanks for clearing that up Richie:) I dont think people are so much questioning the ability of USC in the PAC-10 just the rest of the division.

An incredible game for sure-I didn't really know who to root for, I'm supposed to hate all teams from the south but I'm also supposed to root for the underdog-in the end, to my dad's disgust, I had to root for Texas.  They really pulled off the impossible.

A great end to a fantastic bowl season.

Ha!  I say the same thing about teams from the north - Jets, Pats, Bills, Boston College - but not Penn State, at least not while Joe Pa is still there.

Yep, a great end to a fantastic bowl season.

Well Webb, between you and me, there's no teams my family hates worse than those from Florida.  Noles, Canes, especially the Gators-we despise em all! :D

But I like Bobby Bowden... maybe I'm having like a football identity crisis?

Marcus Vick has been booted off the team at Virginia tech for stamping on one of the guys legs. Anyone surprised?

It's a real shame-I've never seen athletes self-destruct the way they do in football.

My high school, Harriton, has a terrible football team-and had the #2 prospect in the nation Callahan Brite, a DT/DE (he can play either, the guy is absolutely massive).

He had been in and out of trouble his whole life, eventually ending up at Harriton after spending a year and a half at a one-step-below-juvie school.  At the end of his senior year (last year), he committed to the Noles and was expected to go there this year.

Until he put a kid in a coma over who was the better rapper.

The big question now will be. Will anyone even consider drafting him? I am sure he may go in the lower rounds. or a  high risk but potential high gain pick in the first or second round. i suppose theres always Oakland ;D

Yep, looks like Young is going to the draft.  Hey Craig, do you know when the deadline to declare is?

Also, with Vince Young declaring...who does Houston take.  Young or Bush?  I honestly think Matt Leinart is a better QB prospect.  But, Reggie Bush won't be able to run with a line as bad as Houston has.  If they drafted Leinart, he would have the same problem as Carr.  Although Leinart is slightly more mobile than Carr, he's not mobile enough to balance out the poor offensive line.  Vince Young might be.

If I was in Houston's shoes right now, I would think long and hard about trading David Carr and drafting Vince Young.  I expect they will draft Reggie Bush, but considering Young (and shopping for trades with Carr) may not be a bad idea.

Of those three? You take Bush, I cant argue that as much as I want to. I think Carr is a very good QB with the potential to be a playoff winner given the right weapons, he can scramble but hasn't been given a chance. With Gary Kubiak being the next likely Texans coach, you can gaurentee he will bring that Denver like style of offense to Houston, rumor is he's also bringing Denvers Running back coach if he isn't promoted to OC on the Broncos. That would be a heck of a system for Reggie Bush to work in. The question then becomes, who does New Orleans Take, they need a QB. Leinart definatly is the better franchise qb, but Young has that speed advantage. Tough choice.
