You mean you needed the army training to get you to change your socks every day? :o
My, where did your Mum go wrong! ::) ;)

I was just making a point ;)

As for you being abnormal Andrew - don't you leave somewhere hot? South of the US or something?

I live way up north. Right now, the temperature is about 0 degrees. And that's on the Fahrenheit scale ;D

To convert Centigrade to Fahrenheit, you multiply by nine, divide by five then add thirty-two.  :)

The only true temperature scale is Kelvin, with 0 K being absolute zero. :P

273K = 0 Celcius = 32 Farenheit

They can call it Kelvin, Kevin or even Fred if they like. I would still have to convert it to Fahrenheit to have any idea what they were talking about. ::) :P

No wonder us old fogies are permanently confused. ??? :D

The human body can be amazing when it comes to adapting to temperatures.

If the outside air temperature rises, the core body temperature will attempt to drop by causing the following:

1. Blood vessels in the skin will dilate to allow greater blood circulation and quicker transfer of heat from the body to the surface.

2. As the temperature of the skin rises [due to the heat transfer], the sabecious glands [located in the dermis of the skin] will secrete some sweat to cool down the skin.

This is called homeostasis [to maintain balance].

Did I confuse anyone yet? ;D

Something weird: I understand Celsius when dealing with low temperatures, but not with high temps. I dont know why.

I've been inside -40 freezer, and it is amazingly cold. It's the kind of cold that you imagine finding on another planet.
