I saw it the other day, that would really have been bad if all the dominoes were knocked over. :P :D

Funny how CNN can make it sound like a huge tragedy that a sparrow was shot half-way around the world. Check Here :o ;)

Sad thing is that the man who shot the bird has gotten death threads by animal right groups and a radio station offered 3000 Euro if you could knock over more dominoes in a original way and more of that nonsense.

Easy Flyer.

So this actually went global? pffff...
There's a good side and a bad side to that.

I think people shouldn't kill animals, especially not for stupid reasons.

Yes they did.

This is absurd.  "they shouldnt've shot the bird for knocking down a few blocks for a game."  >:(

A FEW BLOCKS FOR A GAME?  How about 23,000!  Can you imagine how much bloody work it took to set up 4 freakin million dominoes?

So they killed a bird.  Live with it!

I don't see why they had to shoot a sparrow, who can be excused for having no idea what a domino  is or why anybody would waste precious time playing with them instead of looking for food, fighting for turf, mating, and protecting their young...
and, oh yeah- flying.

 >:(

Odd that they could rustle up a gun but not a net...and making sure the windows were closed or screened might have been a good idea.    But then again, the one time I tried to corner a sparrow and catch it, it dropped dead, apparently from fright.

My suggestion to those animal huggers:

Find some common sense. Kill the man?? Are they STUPID?? Don't they realize that if they kill a man over dumb stuff like that they they will be the ones to face total prosecution and then [most likely under 1st degree murder - planned or pre-emptive killing] face life imprisonment without the possibility of parole?

Don't forget, the media likes to make trageties look more worse than they already are. So, if killing a stupid bird that got in the way of a really-Really-REALLY-NOT-so-SIMPLE task is shocking, then imagine the situation if someone actually killed the bird's shooter.

Again, common sense for crying out loud.

I think shooting the bird was a tad excessive. For crying out loud it is only a game ::)

I love animals but it this case it was not an ordinary situation. Imagine you had spent days lining up 23,000 dominoes. :o ;D
I think though it was a case of getting the sparrow done and dusted before he could do any more damage ratehr than chasing it around and creating more carnage.  ::)

Idiots! Shooting a bird for a stupid all night boring show... really exciting... watching over 4 million domino's drop... Hijacking one of my favorite tv-channels for an entire evening... repeated every year... getting longer every year... The should superglue the whole lot to the floor!

They had it on telly here last night and I boycotted it as I feel shooting innocent animals is STUPID! You should only kill animals for food or if they endanger human life....
I think anyone who takes dominoes this seriously needs to sit on the toilet and have a good w*** for about a week until they realise there is more to life than little rectangular pieces of plastic ::)
I'm off to shoot down some Dutch planes in CFS2 now to complete my act of protest....
Oh and apparently in Holland the house sparrow is an endangered species ;)
