Now i have to wonder if we are supposed to change now or if we are changing in the spring :-/  Still dont see why they couldnt leave well enough alone and let Indiana remain daylight savings time free

maybe thats why the computer's hasn't auto updated to the correct time.... i'm posting this at 11:50pm (teletext time).... and getting more confused by the second........

Nemo the clocks always go back on a Saturday night/Sunday morning. Traditionally Sunday 3am becomes 2am

Although its good getting the extra hour in the evenings in the summer, changing the time plays havoc with my internal clock. Poor me Cant we just put the clocks forward half a hour in spring and leave it at that

Gee, guys, I was at the disputer computer at 2am Sunday morning when, suddenly, I was an hour in the past. Then I could swear I was leaving an hour late but, according to the clocks  ???. Oh, well, I guess springing forward and falling back is easier to roll with than springing up and falling down.  8)

 I live in Michigan and work in Indiana, we thought when Indiana went to DST we would all be on the same time year round, then they started all the bullcrap with counties switching time zones, if they get what they want it will be no different.
 The other thing that seems stupid is that they may allow certain counties (St. Joseph, Elkhart) to become central time zone even though every county to the south in Indiana is eastern time zone and all of Michigan to the north is eastern time zone, so you will have this one area of central time zone sticking way into the eastern time zone, they say it's for economic purposes, but geographically it makes no sense.

 They could solve the whole problem by just making all of Indiana one time zone, and if they are going to do DST the whole state needs to do it.
 In my mind turning clocks one way or the other is a bunch of political nonsense anyway, oh, and don't forget that they are extending it another month starting in '07, so we will be on "political standard time" more of the year than "actual time."

This argument crops up every time the clocks are changed. It might be different in some parts of the world but this idea works well where I happen to live. People have short memories & conveniently forget that they tried leaving the time as it was back in the 1970s which turned out to be a complete disaster. Public opinion forced them to change it back. It's obviously slightly different where a huge country like the US is concerned but in this case I think should be up to the individual states to decide on what to do. I dealt with people in all parts of the world including Australia & New Zealand for many years & the time difference was never a problem. It doesn't take much to figure out when they will be at work so you know the ideal time to phone or contact them. This is even easier now as you can simply send them an E-mail.
