Sounds like my sort of dog. :D

PS. Maybe not. He would probably welcome intruders into my house so there wouldn't be much point in having him. ::)

My dog is like that - see below

Image

He spends all day barking at anyone who goes past our place but as soon as someone opens the gate his tail is firmly between his legs. He's all bark and no bite -  which is good i suppose.

That Mutt sounds like its prime Police fodder, his attitude reminds me of your average traffic cop......  :P ;D

My old German Shepherd "Zena" was a very quiet dog, she sussed out, from an early age, that silence gave her a distinct advantage.

At the time I lived on a rough "Council Estate" in the UK, the local yobs habit of "hedge hopping" to make a short cut across our garden soon ceased I can tell you!  ;D

Back when I was in Miami, I had a neighbor who a grown up German Sheppard. This dog is as serious as a Texas Ranger going out for revenge I tell ya.

However, this dog only understands german. But even that doesn't cause a language barrier with this dog. You point a finger at someone or something, that dog will attack it- literally.

And since I know a little bit of German, I can rest asured that Bullet [that's his name] won't have a misunderstanding with me. ;D

Please note, the fences in Bullet's neighborhood are not tall enough to stop him. :-X

I know plenty of German-it's just gibberish said in a very, very angry, strained voice ;D (jk)

Considering how normally dog-like that behavior is, it amazes me that some working dogs are actually competent... but not this character. Mascot, maybe... ;D

Dogs are supposed to be loyal pets, no barking killing machines.

And I've found out, the smaller the dog the angrier he is. Fortunately, those hairy rats are easy to kick away if one of them decides to get on my nerves.

My brother & his wife had a very nervous Great Dane some years ago. She was a beautiful dog & was no trouble at all once she got used to you. She would run away & hide if a stranger appeared which seemed ridiculous for such a large dog, almost the size of a small pony. Intruders would have no problems at all breaking into my brother's home but getting out again would be a different story. :o :D

PS. The dog they have now would just lick you to death if he could. ;)
