I would definately suggest an internship. A freind of mine did that for a few hours a day between and after classes.

I have no idea of the situation now but I'm not sure that's possible in the UK where Jimbo is. I think Eno's is the best suggestion so far. Ask your tutors for advice. They are there to help you in any way they can, or should be.
