what? i struggled in algebra, as i struggle n a lot of subjects.

i just find it pointless. they say it's a problemsolving thing, but im never going to use y=mx+b to solve what i should eat for dinner tonight, or wether to go to the game or the school play (like last night).

honestly, i should be able to study what im going to do int he future before college. but whatever.

btw, i thought  if it was between .0-.4, it was rounded down, but if .5-.9, rounded up?

Hey!  An IB person!  ;D

How's it going for you?  I'm in IB as well, and at this point I'm beginning to regret that.  All my teachers went nuts this year, I have so much homework to do I can't even begin to list all the stuff I have yet to finish (or start).   In fact I'm typing this post right now as a break from the math project due next Tuesday.  (Yes, I know, it's very sad to post in a math thread as a break from a math project.)

Are you going for an IB diploma or certificate?  If diploma - I feel your pain.

What I don't understand is how math is supposed to be a universal language. Sure, 1+5=6 no matter what planet you come from, but how could you hold a conversation with numbers?

you could wave and then point to a number

IE: (wave) to creature, then point to something like 3 lines

IE: (wave) (pointing) III
