As you all know, rita is coming near me, as I live in houston. The latest projections sho that the hurricane will pass us to te east. We are expected to get 10 or more inches of rain, and maybe 70 mph winds. Not bad considering that this was a cat 5. The hurricane should hit at around 3 am tommorrow. We are ready. We have moved all of our stuff from the backyard into the garage, moved stuff away from windows, put valuable things upstairs, even though the house probably wont flood. My computer was taken out of my room to be kept safe, since it is fairly new. I am typing this from my old computer in my parents room. I don't feel any need to worry, this will probly be no worse than some of the other storms in the past. In fact, it's possible that we might not even loose power. So no one needs to worry about me, as soon as I finish homework and power (as well as my computer

) Is restored, I will be right here recounting the storm.
But here is the real reason for this post. We decided to move stuff out of a cabinet downstairs to my old closet upstairs for safety. It was mostly pictures, a lot of personal ones that bring back memories. But we did find some other, more "rare" things. First of all, a wonderful picture of the twin towers. Actually, a while back after 9/11, my mom found an amazing charcoal painting of the twin towers that she and my dad bought while in new york either before they got married or right after. We had it framed and hung up. Another thing we found is a photo album with some pictures that my grandfather took during wwII, when he fought for the US. We also found, and I had seen it before, a bunch of periodicals from the war. They are probably worth some thing now, as they have headlines such as NAZIS FALL, and stuff like that.
Well, that's it from me, ready for this storm just to get it over with.
