We just discussed it last week in my survey of electricity and electronics class...

The answers you've recieved thus far are correct, voltage does not kill...

Why even on a really dry day if you took your arms and moved them up and down in circles in the air you could potentially be generating thousands of volts of static electricity. Why doesn't it hurt REAL bad when you touch something? Mainly because of the resistance of the air gap between you and the door. Keeping in mind that a 1/32 spark plug in your car needs a voltage anywhere between 20,000-40,000 depending on the car make/model, and many othr factors...
