Americans need to take like a college-level philosophy course to understand cricket. I never really got it meself. :o

Much like my problem with baseball & what you chaps call football. I never got my head around why they call it that. ??? :P ;)

It's actually nowhere near as complicated as that. Quite a simple game really. I think it's the tradition that goes with it that makes it difficult to understand. A lot of Americans over here in the UK are great cricket fans. I think this includes a former US Ambassador. Or maybe it's the current one.
