Eating bubble gum's bad for your health

The one thing my old Dad couldn't stand was seeing my brother & me chewing gum. He said it was a disgusting habit & we almost came to blows over it. The only time he ever threatened to lay hands on me was when I openly defied him & chewed gum in front of him. I resented it then but now I'm all grown up I have to agree with him.

Heck, people who litter there get severe fines, and rightly so - I can't stand litter, it always blows into the corner of my street, ugly discarded Mcdonald's packaging etc.

It is a nonsense, the likelihood of getting caught is nearly 0%. Cleaning up costs so much it generally is not done and every town cetre and outside every local shop has a carpet of the stuff.

Just another reason i hate going into my local highstreet. I prefer to wait till a weekend and goto a shopping mall a bit further away. At least they generally keep the place clean and tidy.

Not long ago I was part of a government study on the effects of tooth care (to disappoint Katahu, I was one using no prescribed -- or unprescribed ::)-- medicines, while some others either did or may have had various gum/tooth problems). Obviously, the gums are connected with the blood stream from within and bacteria -- or whatever else -- from without. When they are breeched, what's inside can go out and what's outside can go in [to the rest of the body via the bloodstream].

Littering fines now run into $thousands depending upon where. We're still driving over all sorts of trash and have crews picking it up from the roadsides -- and even parks where the rubbish barrel is only yards away!>:(

Is there anything these days which isn't bad for your health? Lets hope aliens dont invade, we are turning into a planet of soft sissys.

If they actually invaded, it may well be bad for everyones' health.
