Taking a pram with a baby in it down from the fourth floor (no lift), walking between 5 and 10kms, doing the shopping, then dragging said pram, baby and shopping up 4 floors!
I might not be right skinny but my stamina and speed are still impressive ;D

"I have to push the pram-a-lot...." :P

I used to have a job that involved walking all over a huge Pharmaceutical plant that had several buildings. That was plenty of exercise for me. But now at the sausage factory I do nothing but sit on my... I know it sounds great- getting paid to sit and surf the net for most of the day, but it really gets boring. I would almost rather do more work for less money.

(edit for clearity)

I think the American equivilant of a pram is a baby carriage. It is a device with 4 wheels, and handlebars and you push it. The little person can sit up or lie down in it, and you can stash the shopping in a little tray thingie underneath the baby ;)

Pram is short for perambulator. Used to be a very stylish baby carriage with big wheels & a sprung coach-built body. The wheels & axles were in great demand for our go-carts when I was a kid. This is the most popular type now. http://www.kiddicare.com/icat/2in1prams

My idea of a stroller is what we would call a pushchair or baby buggy. http://www.kiddicare.com/_buggies/baby-buggy.htm

Being a new granddad I have to know these things. I have my "L" plates ready for my first lesson. 8) ;)

The old prams chassis made for great go-karts. My first homebuild go cart had a 40 odd year old chassis. Incredibly fast and fun, especially downhill in the local woods ;D

These new-fangled prams are very clever & also very expensive. They don't look anything like as adaptable as the good old-fashioned real prams. Wonder what the kids use for wheels on their go-carts these days? I suppose they get them ready-made. Not so much fun I bet. ::)

Sounds logical. I'm sure they went much faster downhill than up. :P :D
