No more RC toys for you. ::)

Yeah, HS4 is actually a glider with rockets strapped to it

I see the post was started by "Ruptured Duck."

Having read these posts I sat down last night and watched them firing chickens thru a light plane windscreen...fascinating stuff.

mythbusters rule... they make me want to go outside and start welding and building stuff too :)

i too have my Holyhog lubrication projects, only we call them Kerbals

they are small attempts to lauch small tinfoil men (Kermen) back into their homeworld of Alluminia...

so far we have produced and lauched i think 28 missions... non, of course, reached Alluminia

the first attempts mostly burned on the ground as the rocket propellants weren't strong enough to lift them off the plataform (Kerbal I actually burned down the lauching pad)

then we moved on to better, more powerful rockets, but in the early stages of this new era, we failed to notice that these better rocket had explosive charges on top and all the crew of Kerbals 13 and 14 exploded....

we then decided to remove these exploding warheads (and save them for later) and as the designs became mor and more sophisticated (as much as they can be while being made of wooden sticks and duct tape) we ventured into 2 stage rocket building

a new problem arose, though as with the warheads removed, the rockets were open on both ends, so halfway into the flight they would spin out of control, crash and , of course kill all the Kerbos inside

we have lost count of how many brave Kerbos lost their life, or were severely dismembered by there missions.... but their struggle must not be in vain  ;D

the lauch season approaches and new Kerbal missions will be issued... we've been discussing a 3 stage engine for a future spacecraft... hmmm

i'll show one of my designs as soon as i find a picture of one of the Kerbals (since they were all destroyed, pictures are all that remain)

heheheh enought tripping... the loonybin doctors are here with tasers... got to go

Two slightly crazy guys, take everyday myths and theorys and set out to proove or bust them. Some are slightly strange others hillarious.
Just as a side thing though. They did the sinking sand thing on Brainiac here in the UK. Instead of using all this unnecissary equiptment, they went to the beach, dug a huge hole filled it with the right consistancy of and and water, did a much better job than the mythbusters version. Sometimes you dont need to go over the top to be successful
