He will be missed.

Few people can say that they affected others as much as James Doohan did. "Scotty" encouraged an interest in science that lead many to take an active role in the eral space program.

I've got an autographed Enterprise blueprint that was signed by James Doohan...I guess I'll have to make sure to take good care of it.

After answering the call of "Beam me up, Scotty" so many times...I guess it as finally his time to be beamed up.

I was just coming here to post this.  After Deforrest Kelly, Jimmy was my favorite person on the series.  My wife met him several times at conventions and said he was one of the nicest people she ever met...
