And i mean quick as i would like an answer then a mod to lock this nothing more. No discussion no arguments.

I see these news reports about the supreme court and Judge Rehnquist's retirement along with others. I have noticed they are all very old and in the judge above now in hospital. Do these members actually go in and do a job or is it a figurehead type position.

They are actually judges on the supreme court. They also play a major part in law making I believe.
