most do here, even as i was coming to the end of my time there they had the younger kids working the warehouse. its not that difficult. generally though it would be required two people under 18 had to lift the heavier things like TV's, washing machines and so on. Although again that was a newer thing when i returned after a year away. when i started out i was left to do these things alone. Good for building up strength if not a little dangerous.
Well Craig, if it's your intention to put Matt off a supermarket job you seem to be making a pretty good job of it.
I don't think any respectable company would get away with disregarding the health & safety regulations like that for long, especially where minors are concerned. I see no need for him to risk breaking the law anyway. 35 hours per week should be more than enough for a 15 year-old. IMHOOf course, the best thing would be a little job at the airfield, if that's close enough.
