There was a Mig-29 trainer shot down in The Fist of God. However, that wasn't really true...

 Seeing that the F-15E Strike Eagle is a "strike" aircraft I'm going to have to go with the Russian aircraft, which are more of an air superiority aircraft.  Now throw in a F-15C or F-22, that maybe a different story.

 Now to ruffle some feathers.....I see the new generation of European jet fighters as contemporaries to the Su-27 family of aircraft, on par with each other and perhaps a cut above the F-14, F-15, F-16 and F-18, but a level below the upcoming F-22.

Being slightly stealthy won't make the F22 invincible. In an out and out dogfight I'd still support a Eurofighter over it any day.

Slightly stealthy isn't what I've heard.  I've heard the thing ****ing dominates anything it comes up against.  They've tested it against five F-16s attacking it simultaneously (all flown by excellent pilots, of course), and they said it was like shooting fish in a barrel.
