Why can't americans ever think up new names for places? It would save no end of confusion. :P

Aye. Especially for cities...slapping a "new" in front of the original names ain't very clever either.

New York is actually behind RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire, and has been for a very long time, so that was very original either. Coincidentally, that makes it about 10 miles from Boston (Lincs)... ;D

BACK TO THE TOPIC ... DON'T MISS pensacola nas, the birthplace of navy aviation. wonderful building (s) restored aircraft, famous people's, like Pappy Boyington's and George Bush's planes all five of the BLUE ANGLES hanging from the ceiling, wonderful aviation paintings etc etc.
btw, i went to Dayton to see wright Pat and one of my old Connies and was much disappointed, not so much in the collection, but in the attending staff.

If your ever in the Brampton area of Ontario visit the Great War Flying Museum at the Brampton Flying Club. We're a fairly small organization that builds, maintains and flies replica WW1 aircraft. As of right now we have 2 Fokker Triplanes, a Fokker D-7, an SE5a, Nieuport 28, a 7/8 scale SE5a, and our pride and joy, a recently completed full scale two-seat Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter with a working scarrf ring in the rear cockpit. Under construction is a Sopwith Camel, and possibilities for the future include another D-7, a Bristol Fighter, DH-2 and a Fokker D-8. Our website is www.greatwarflyingmuseum.com

If your planning on going to the Geneseo and /or Saranac Lake shows we'll be there.
