I agree 100% with you on this one. (I only wish I'd been in town over the weekend to follow this thread as it developed, so I'm chiming in now.)
Not intill the potential religious connotations were brought up.
Woodlouse, you're proving Ben's point perfectly with this comment. My reply to that thread was that the topic was an essentially religious themed thread. It was a thread disproving the beliefs of many. My pointing out that a thread disproving the foundation of Christianity in NO WAY is what made it a religious thread. It was an agnostic thread. That is what makes it a religious thread.
I'm a little sick and tired of people who have differing beliefs, be them agnostic, athiestic, whatever....I'm tired of them being allowed to bash the beliefs of the rest of us with no repurcussions. So I'd like to also add my name to the list of semi long-timers who are debating whether or not to continue visiting the site at all. (A point of contention that I made to the mod team quite some time ago, and again recently.)
I don't care if you don't believe what I do. I'll completely respect that. But if I can't post my beliefs, then neither can you.
EDIT: And for the record, I'm not offended by someone's differing beliefs, or even their spouting them here. What offends me is the double standard.
Even now there's confusion. The mods are saying there's a zero tolerance rule. Then a few posts later the rule is there's no hard and fast rule. Why stay when in the rules themselves, there's a double standard already in place?
