There's more locks on this page than Alcatraz....

Why is everyone suddenly trying to be controversial ?

Seems to be a "mean" steak going around.  I was just over at Sim-Outhouse and one of the threads was just short of all out war.  I didn't even want to get involved.  Can't explain it though, why eveyone's on edge.

It's nearly summer, people are spending too much time on their computers and the combined heat and the eye strain is causing them to dehydrate and become short tempered. The solution, close the forums for a week and force everyone to go outside. ;D

You think i'm joking. It would do everyone a whole lot of good not to have the forums for a week. In fact, some people might regain some colour in their monitor-bleached skin. ;D

Funny you should say that Woodlouse...

I had some free time today and meant to do some serious simming...

Then I watched this...and was terrified into going onto my bike and walking downtown...

And even then I had to tear myself away from my computer...

I also agree that the heat isn't helping...dunno your weather but it's hotter than a B**** here... :P

Hi all...!
Your old Mate Fozzer here...!

Now you all know me, I'm always up for a good-old laugh and a joke over most things, even if they are meant to be serious....
...but...
After many, many years or being a  Forum Member from the original "Ultraboard" days, together with a few of my good Mates here, I am finding that I spend less and less time posting here for fear of upsetting an extremely small handful of newer, highly strung, highly sensitive, Members who obviously haven't been here long enough to appreciate the harmless fun, banter, and occasional punch-up which we old-timers have enjoyed for a very long time.
There's nothing I used to enjoy more than a good-old blaspheme, a bit of swearing, and a bit of poking fun, every now and again....and my liberal use of "Smilies", as you all know, surely indicate when I am being less than serious...!
But for me, I think those good fun times have now faded away...unfortunately...!

Cheers all...!

Paul....;)...;D...8)...!
...popping in occasionally as a Guest...
...and maybe, the opportunity to raise a laugh when things get much too serious....but there again...I'm probably treading on dangerous ground?

im in agreement with fozzer here, im not on here as much as i used to be due to work/family/finding the outside world again!!/etc,  but if i read anything that gets my back up then i just dont reply to it! its easier that way!!!  everyone is entitled to an opinion and their choice of religion etc, but i think the way its going we are gonna have to all get along or this forum will not last much longer.... to be honest im tired of it, i dont post about religion or politics and im not interested in other peoples thoughts on it either!  im not trying to be rude, i just want this place to be somewhere we can all enjoy again  ::)

I tend to spend more time moderating than posting these days because of "the few" who seem to think that their mere presence here we should be grateful for.
The only person we should be thankful for is Pete for running the site, from now on the mods are kicking bottom with troublemakers (I haven't banned someone yet and I'm on the lookout to put the first notch on my new keys ;D), and I've got the marmalade on the aga getting nice and warm (Fozzer how long does it take to cook humans?) ;D
So play nice and have a laugh or else is is a horrible orange flavoured death for thee....

Maybe Pete should put a daily limit on the forums. Maybe limiting it to 15 hours a day will get more people outside without having to increase meds ;D
