Anyone up for a concert?

Postby The Ruptured Duck » Thu Jun 09, 2005 10:53 pm

So me and a bunch of other Kansas folk will be in Europe for the next 2 weeks to perform in 7 countries.  Heres the list of events if you are interested in hearing some great music and are in the area:

LONDON- June 14, Victoria Embankment Gardens, 14:00ish, band

June 15, Wesleys Chapel, 09:00ish, choir/string orchestra

PARIS- June17, St. Severin church13:30, choir/string orchestra

June 17, Luxembourg Gardens, 15:30, Concert band

CHAMPERY, SWITZERLAND- June 20, Hotel Des Alpes(?), 20:30, choir/orchestra

INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA- June 23, Pavillion in park near Karwendelhof Hotel, band-17:30, choir/orchestra-21:00

ROTHENBURG, GERMANY- June 26, Rothenburg Town Center, 14:03-Band

June 26, Choir/orchestra, Franziskanerkirche, 16:00

So thats it!   I am so excited, my pants can hardly stay on my hips.  I would recomend one of the concerts, it is promising to be a great show.  I will be playing my trumpet in the band.

The group will feature American composers including John Phillip Sousa.

The concerts are free, and the music is good, so come on out!

have a good time trd.
London is a little too far for me, 130 mile drive but no car and train is rather expensive.

Mostly Classical concert band stuff.  We are playing a tune that is "bluesy", but it just aint the same when the solos are written.

We did just have our "bon Voyage"concert this afternoon, and we sound awsome.  We learned 15 songs in 3 days, with a 151 piece band, and we sound better than most high school bands.
