Paypal is the first place to call. And calling is essential, you need to confirm the details with them and make sure this account is cancelled. This should be followed up by contacting ebay admins as woody said. Also contact the police and report this before it does get out of hand, so they dont show up on your doorstep one day.

Contact Ebay IMMEDIATELY!  Also I'd run a credit check just to make sure the information hasn't been used for anything else.   Do some research on identity theft and see what suggestions you come up with.

Definately! Contact ebay and or paypal immediately.

Paypal WILL refund people money if they have paid for stuff through them and so if the guy used Paypal everything should be alright. I was conned on ebay by a MS pirate and paypal refunded the money out of his account to ours. If we had used anything other than paypal we wouldn't have received a refund.  ::)

well it sounds like someone who knows you, especially with those specifics. You wont get into trouble if you sort this out soon. Its only when you knowingly ignore it that problems arise. Which you havent done so there is no problem.

Sounds like a potential case of identity theft.

It is imperative that you get everyone possibly involved "in the loop" ASAP.  If that Paypal account is tied to a bank account..... get ahold of the bank immediately an stop all ACH transfers in and out until the mess is fixed.  Ditto if it is linked to a credit card.

Just went through a case of changing every bank account and credfit card number we had  :P.

best,

Sounds to me like it's someone you know, or who knows you well enough to know both your girlfriends parents and your address. Someone just stealing your identity wouldn't know your girlfriends dads name.
