Big brothers watching....

Well anyway today in went to school as usual,
I use the computers alot there you see and most of my work is done there.
So anyway straight to the point, on the server, the admins have installed a pc, or server thingy which records and takes screen shots of any innapropriate materials or words you have used. So for example, if i type (sex) in, it takes a screen shot, and a WHOLE host of other words. The admins look through to see if they are geniune or not and come and find you. At the end of the year all the reports are sent home to parents.
So what do you think of the system? Abides privacy or not?
Well personally i think its a good idea because people will treat the whole system with respect.
especially in a company where employers can keep a track on what employees are doing.

Its a good idea as long as they make sure that using such words wasnt involved with a school project before they take action against you.

In the legal system, a lot depends on the "expectation of privacy".  Any case claiming "invasion of privacy" is going to be scrutinized with the question "Was there an expectation of privacy?"

In this case, no.  You're on a school computer, a work computer, a computer in the library, whatever.

Now, on your HOME computer, that's different.  No one would be able to do this, unless of course a judge found probable cause to issue a warrant to search your computer.

But then again, behave and none of it matters. ;)
