I got this just today, though it was marked on 27 April.. Oh well. It regards the Flight Sim survey. Anyone else get it? Maybe they actually do value our input!

Thank you for your interest in the Flight Simulator 2004 Survey Study. This email is simply to keep you updated on the status of the project and assure that your participation is still desired.



Due to the overwhelming interest in participating in this study, we had to roll this out to a limited number of people for a short period of time. We are in the process of installing more hardware to handle the incoming data from the rest of you who expressed interest in participating. Hopefully, within the next couple of weeks we will have everything installed and ready to go. At that time you can expect to get another email asking you to go ahead and download the files needed to record your data.



Again, thank you for your interest in participating in this study. Expect to hear from us again soon.

Call me a cynic but it looks like a total load of old cobblers to me. Suspect anything on the Internet whose identity you don't know. There's no way with that wording that that garbage has anything to do with Microsoft or anyone else officially connected with the MS flight simulator program. Personally I'm amazed that anyone would 'participate' and freely give up their email address without knowing who the heck they're giving the information to.

If you guys are ever skeptical, don't forget you can use a nice little site called "DodgeIt".  Make up any email addy.......simviationrocks(at)dodgeit.com, whereiskevinsbeard(at)dodgeit.com.....completely free, you won't get email, and you can make up whatever you want.  That's what the site was designed for!
