And the last "interim" pope - John XXIII was supposed to be a "caretaker" Pope, and not rock the boat .... HA!

Ah, that explains it... I was on a jobsite this morning in NYC; quite a few of the Russian-immigrant electricians were joking sardonically about the German Pope. Whatever.

ok, ok, easy guys!  :P

i think it's great! i feel proud for my country and i'm not even christian lol. but i gotta say, i did expect to hear alot of pope bashing the next few days/weeks. i mean godforbid the pope is german ::). having said that, he does look a bit too serious. i'm sure he won't be such a "people's" pope as the last one :(

and about the hitler youth: so what, who wasn't back then??  ;)
