An anti-Pope is what I'll be needing to take after all this Pope-hype. As a lapsed Catholic and happy heathen, I don't have much use for 'em.

An antipope is one whose claim to being Pope is the result of a disputed or contested election. These antipopes were usually in opposition to a specific person chosen by the papal electors (since the Middle Ages, the college of cardinals). Some self-appointed leaders of smaller churches are also called "antipopes."

Can't remember who that "prophecy" is attributed to (Nostradamus?), but I'll bet he lived in Europe at the height of the Vatican's powers, most likely before the discovery of the New World and penetration of Africa and Asia by European culture, trade, and power.  So Christian Europe would be "the world" to him. I wonder just what events are supposed to attend this apocalypse? Is it due to something the last Pope does, or what?
And as the pendulum swings yet again, it looks like Christianity is on the wane, at least globally.
But I really don't believe in that stuff...

What they speak of, are the coming of  god/the lord.... basically all of the saved people (Saved has sooo many different ideas as to what it actully is) will be called back up to heaven. The rest of the world will left to fend for them selves agaist seven tribulations over the course of seven years. The next point is debatable amongst all religions. God/the lord will come back AGAIN to call home the people who became saved during the tribulations, and either crush the unsaved (Not sent to hell, which is ironic as the religions who prech this also preach eternal damnnation), or sent the unsaved into pergetory (Chatolic)

after all the years of translations (Of which the translaters added a few things, and took a few) even if this does happen, were all screwed anyway.
