I hardly ever use it, esp. in real life. It takes most of the fun out of flying.

Well, I really don't ever fly the heavies.  When I do, I'll use Autopilot because those long flights so high up are pretty boring.  Since 99% of my flying is in vintage or GA planes, the only time I'll use autopilot is when I need to use the bathroom or something similar and I don't feel like pausing it.  And if I need a break, a lot of the times the plane is already trimmed for level flight.

autopilot somethings i hate it always flies the aircraft properly which i hate i even fly stunts with a Boeing B747 (serious) ;D
