That alias they gave sounds famillier, I may have been one of his "victims". Im glad they are doing something about spam, Its always seemed like spammers could do whatever they wanted without restriction. On another note, they actually jailed someone for being annoying, I wonder if other annoyances will soon be punishable...

I almost never see a pop-up anymore, I have pop-up blockers that seem to take care of business just fine.
Still no linked images allowed around here Paz! Naughty...

Finally, I can sleep happy knowing a serial spammer is behind bars for 9 (nine) consecutive years. This is the beginning of the end for those bastards. Hopefully.

He isnt behind bars yet. He has an appeal and the judge has said he will remain free until the appeal is decided as its still such a new law. I feel 9 years might be a bit harsh having been given time to think about it. Maybe a year or two and a huge fine since he made so much money from it.Then a ban from being allowed to own a computer for a set period.

I disagree. Spam pop-ups emails whatever are nothing more than a nusience. I dont think its covered under anything that shouldnt allow it to be stopped. What are they honestly censoring?

(I'm not siding with any one on this) Spammers have the right to send out email. Jailing and illegleizing spamming is infringing spammer rights, if they can infringe his rights than they can infringe your rights too.

You have to look at that with an open mind, or you wont see my point.

Your going to have to share your opinion on why they have a right to shut down my email box with floods of crap, causing me to miss an important email. Or why they have a right to flood Petes email with spam causing this site to suffer problems. Its illegal to hack into a website and shut it down, spamming it is doing the same thing, why should that be considered legal?

BecauseI'm not trying to say it should be. They are controlling what is put out on the web, for this moment, it may be benificial to you. I won't always be.

I've just made some enquiries, and the 16,648 members of Simviation have all agreed to re-direct their spam mail for advertisments of Viagra, Penis enlargement kits, Really big girls from Brazil, Sign-up for medicare, as much porno as you can handle in one evening, and everything else you didn't ask for,...etc...etc...to Hanzaki's incoming Mail-box...  8)... ;D...!

Sorted...!
