Here in eastern Ohio it's any where from about $2.10 -$2.20.  I'm not sure exactly what it is at the local stations, as it changes almost every day.  i'll check when I go by on the bus to school tomorrow morning.  I think what every town in america needs is a Sheetz.  They always have prices at least  5- 10 cents lower than the others, at least from what I've seen on vacations.  Wish we had one around here.

The only Vette that gets 30 MPG's is the Chevette...and even that's a stretch.  lol :P

Was $2.59 in Indianapolis earlier today. Around $2.39 where I gas up. Difference is because of the different blend for rural vs urban areas.

You guys in America are so privalidged. Our prices are terrible. They are almost unaffordable. It's so unfair. I recently saw prices at at 90p a litre! 90 pence a litre. Gordon Brown should be jailed!

I know that prices are much higher in the EU but you also have to realize that in the US places are much farther apart. Some years ago I worked with some Europeans over on a summer "Work Program" and they actually asked me if it would be better to see the Statue Of Liberty in the morning and the Golden Gate Bridge in the afternoon or the reverse.  ;D

Out here where I live especially it's an absolute necessity to have a car. The nearest grocery store is 14 miles away. To just get a gallon of milk I have to drive 10 miles. Heck I had to walk a half mile today to the neighbors house to borrow a car jack and the only jack he had was a 5 ton floor jack. Try carrying one of those half a mile (those little wheels are useless on a gravel road).  ;D

I think Ben must have known something I didn't when he resurrected this thread. Petrol prices in the UK have been quite stable recently & I haven't noticed any large increases. I'm not even sure the tax was raised (as would be normal procedure) in the recent budget. That's not to say we won't see a huge increase in petrol prices in the near future but you have to appreciate that a very large precentage of what we pay for petrol is tax & not the actual price of the oil. This is what makes our petrol prices so high in comparison to the US & also the rest of Europe.
